And the bruises came back

Over the past couple of months, I have had very few bruises. I was starting to get quite excited that maybe my bruising problem was going away. Nope not the case. This morning I noticed a fresh batch of light colored bruises on my legs.

Here's my theory:

My corticosteroids allow easy bruising while exercise is what actually causes the bruises.

My data:

I learned about the side effect of corticosteroids on the net. For the past couple of months I have not been exercising. I started exercising again 3 days ago and Whamo! new bruises.

So the question is.... Anyone know how to hide them or stop them from getting purple and ugly? I really don't want to have to wear pants in the summer nor do I want people thinking that I'm some abuse victim or something.

Hmmm, not sure. I guess with makeup but I am no expert on that ;)

It does sound like a reasonable explanation though.

Hmm... I've heard that rubbing alcohol on a bruise will help the color fade. I don't know if that's true or not though.

Ok, I'm willing to try make up and rubbing alcohol, but sorry Mare... I would rather have bruises than leeches ;)

How about potatoes? And then hey if it doesn't work... an afternoon of potato stamps with the girls! Can't lose there!

Slice 'em and put 'em on a new bruise. Something my grandmother used to do with me as a kid. Cut it in half. Hmmm now that I'm thinking about it... perhaps it's the pressure on it that stops the bruising on a new injury & the coolness and starch make the owie feel better.

Np on the craft idea! I love potato stamps, etc. They're so much fun!
