Watermelon seeds
Remember the fun as a child. Eating watermelon outside and seeing who could spit the black seeds the furthest.
Then as an adult, the seeds became a nuisance. Luckily, this was about the time when "seedless" watermelons came out. Now they are pretty much the norm.
Why am I discussing this? Tonight, after supper, I cut up some watermelon for dessert. Darrelyn found a "rock" in her watermelon. I explained it was a seed. She quickly informed me that watermelon seeds are white.
That was when I told her and Breanna all about the glory days. When watermelons were full of those seeds. Darrelyn then thought she must be very lucky if she found one in her watermelon and decided to dry it out and add it to her rock collection.
You know, like a person would preserve a fossil.


It was about midnight (I think) when we walked to O'Leary's for Cara to get her coat and shared a cab home.
After snack, we went to the museum and straight to the play room. The girls played while I sat and crocheted. What a nice afternoon. Our family membership is probably the best money I've spent this year.

Thank heavens Cara was with me, cause that kind of forced me to hold it in. Then I talked Cara into letting me come to the mall with her
I saw the cutest hoodie at Garage and its only $25 so I'm strongly thinking of buying it.
